[25.11.21] Protect Pricing With the Higher of Low or Market Price

Storepass includes a retail price source option that can help protect prices when a market price is unusually low. When enabled, Storepass compares TCGplayer Low and TCGplayer Market and uses the higher value as the base price for that rule.

Use this option on rules where you want Storepass to avoid following a market value that may have been pulled down by a short-lived or abnormal sale.

• The option is configured on retail price rules.
• It changes the base price Storepass uses before the rest of the rule is applied.
• It can be combined with your normal discounts, rounding, and approval requirements.

Before starting

1. Open Prices > Retail Rules.
2. Choose the retail price rule you want to review.
3. Confirm whether that rule should use Market, Low, Median, Low plus shipping, or the higher of Low or Market.

Enable

1. Open the rule in Prices > Retail Rules.
2. Open the advanced price source controls.
3. Select Use the higher of Low or Market price.
4. Review the rest of the rule settings, including discounts, minimums, rounding, and approval requirements.
5. Save the rule.

This setting does not guarantee a card will never be underpriced. It chooses the higher available value between Low and Market for that rule. Continue using price approval requirements for large price changes that should be reviewed before they go live.

Review

1. Run a small price update or preview for products covered by the rule.
2. Spot-check cards where Market and Low are far apart.
3. Confirm the final price still follows your rule's rounding, minimum, and approval behavior.
