Buylist Smart Page Builder

Created: 5/30/2025 | Last updated: 6/11/2026 | Tags: buylist, smart page

The Buylist Smart Page Builder lets you add curated page sections to the buylist home page or to a specific buylist product line. It is useful when you want to highlight what you are buying, promote a new set, add customer instructions, or answer common submission questions.

The builder saves draft content separately from the published content so you can preview changes before customers see them.

  • Buylist Home: content shown on the main buylist landing view.
  • Product line pages: content shown when a customer is shopping a specific visible product line.
  • Preview: shows unpublished changes with discover_preview=true.
  • Publish: copies the draft content into the live buylist page.

Before starting

  1. Confirm the product lines you want to target are already configured in Buylist Settings.
  2. Prepare any images, copy, links, FAQ answers, or promotional content you want to include.
  3. Decide whether the content belongs on the buylist home page or on a specific product line.

Create

  1. Open Buylist Smart Page Builder.
  2. Click Create new page.
  3. Select Buylist Home or a product line.
  4. Set the page title.
  5. Add and arrange the sections you want customers to see.
  6. Save your changes.

Preview

  1. Select the page in the builder.
  2. Use the on-page preview to check the layout.
  3. Click See Preview to open the buylist with unpublished content.
  4. Review the page on desktop and mobile before publishing.

Publish

  1. When the draft looks correct, click Publish.
  2. Open the live Buylist without preview mode.
  3. Confirm the page appears on the intended home or product-line view.

Review

  • Undo: reverts the draft back to the currently published content.
  • Copy: duplicates an existing page so you can reuse a structure.
  • Delete: removes a page from the builder.
  • CSS: lets stores with custom styling needs add page-level CSS.
The customer-facing buylist only uses published smart page content. Saved draft changes remain private until you publish them.
