Create Products From a CSV

CSV uploads update inventory, and they can also help you identify products that need to be created before inventory can import cleanly. Storepass supports Storepass, Scryfall ID, TCGplayer ID, and TCGplayer consumer-app scanner formats.

Use this workflow when you have a file of inventory and want Storepass to process it into your store.

Before starting

1. Open Inventory CSV.
2. Choose the CSV type that matches your file.
3. If the file type requires it, select the product line.
4. If your store has multiple locations, select the location the inventory should apply to.
5. Download the example file if you need to confirm column names.

Upload

1. Choose the CSV file.
2. Click Upload CSV.
3. When the CSV task starts, open Task Monitoring or stay on the import page to review the import summary.
4. Open the import row to review row-level results and errors.

Add missing products

1. Open the CSV import detail page.
2. Use Show Only Errors to focus rows that did not import.
3. If the rows failed because products are missing, choose Add Missing Products to Shopify.
4. Select the product line and start the product creation task.
5. After products are created, retry failed imports.

CSV product creation depends on the IDs in the file matching Storepass catalog data. Rows without enough product identity may need to be corrected before Storepass can create or update them.
