Country of Origin and HS Code

Country of Origin and HS Code are Shopify product creation fields used for customs and international shipping data. Storepass can populate them from Product Creation Settings and can standardize them on existing Shopify products.

Use these fields when your Shopify shipping, duties, or cross-border workflows depend on origin and harmonized system information.

Configure

1. Open Product Creation Settings.
2. Select the Shopify product line.
3. Edit Country of Origin template. Use a country code such as US, CA, or AU.
4. Edit HS Code template. For example, paper trading cards may use a code like 4911.91 when appropriate for your store.
5. Use the preview area to confirm both values render correctly.
6. Save the settings.

Apply to new products

1. Create products from the Storepass Catalog.
2. Storepass sends the rendered Country of Origin and HS Code to Shopify during product creation.

Apply to existing products

1. Open Products.
2. Select the product line and filters you want to update.
3. Choose Bulk Standardize Products.
4. Select Country of Origin and HS Code.
5. Preview the diff when available, then start the standardization task.

Country and HS values are compliance-sensitive. Storepass applies the values you configure, but your store is responsible for confirming the correct codes for the products you sell.
